VS.Net 2002 Conflict

I know this is kinda wierd, but there is a problem when you are using the
Visual Database Tools & even the XML Schema viewer for Visual Studio.Net
2002 on an AMD athlon machine with Office 2003 Beta 2 (Technical Refresh
Edition) Professional. I tried connecting to a database using the Server
Explorer and this is what I get (thru the event viewer):

"Faulting application devenv.exe, version 7.0.9466.0,
faulting module vdt70p.dll, version 7.0.9466.0, fault
address 0x0003c82a."

When I uninstalled Office 2003 and re-installed VS.Net 2002 this problem
does not appear. I have confirmed it as I tested this on 4 machines accross
3 OS (well I guess they are all the same in terms of the kernel): Windows
2000 Prof Edition, Windows XP professional Edition, Windows Server 2003
Standard Edition. I Have 2 Intel machines and 2 Athlon machines. The
Intel-based machines worked fine.

Also, I have to uninstall VS.Net 2002 then re-installing it for the
functionality to work correctly.

Hi Gian,

My understanding is that this is a known issue and
that reinstalling VS.Net 2002 as you mentioned is the workaround
if your using Office System 2003 Beta 2 with Technical Refresh
and will be fixed prior to Office 2003 release.
