VS.NET 2005 Office Plugins

Hi,
I am developing the office plugins using office 2003 ,VS.NET 2005 and
C#.
If i use the com shim tool to my project ,will this be able to work in
Office Xp/2000 versions??

Please let me know what else i need to do in order to support in Office
Xp/2000 versions.
