I may have inadvertently changed a setting, cause I don't remember
this happening before.

If I enter a formula using a + sign, I get the result, not the
formula. For example, +300/3 gives a result of 100. A control+U
shows that the formula has been converted to the number. Minus sign
is the same as a plus sign.

If I enter a formula using an = sign, I get the formula when I use
control+U. For example, +300/3 gives a result of 100. A control+U
shows 300/3 in the cell.

How do I get the + action to be the same as the = action?

Thanks.

I can't get this to repro in XL04 or XL08. What version of XL are you
running?

XL04.
It had to be some keyboard setting I changed somehow. I went to
system preferences and reset defaults, and now it works normally.
Thanks for the help.
