VSL Behavior

Hi All -

I had a few question regarding the VSL
1. Do the VSL's get loaded from the 1033\solutions directory under
visio.
If it does, is there a way to disable them?
2. Do these VSL's run in the background along with custom VSL.
3. I tried changing/removing the add-ons path but it automatically
reset the path.
4. I also tried deleting the solutions folder but the MSI installer
for visio kicked in.

Any help thoughts would be highly appreaciated
