VSS integration

I have vss6.0d along with Access 2003 sp2 running on a windows XP box with
everything up to date. I installed the add-in from microsoft to make the VSS
menu appear in access. When I add the database project to sourcesafe through
the sourcesafe menu in access, the sourcesafe Create Project dialog appears
as expected. After I give my project a name and click OK on the sourcesafe
dialog, the dialog goes away and nothing happens. No error - no activity.
When I look in sourcesafe, it created the new folder, but no files in it. In
access, the "Add Database to Sourcesafe" option is still available. I have
tried this on 3 different machines with 3 different Operating Systems. Any
ideas?

I had this happen to me also. I can't remember what the fix was, but

I installed visual basic 6.0 (from the visual studio disks).

I then installed vss 6.0.

I then installed the access 2003 vss ad-in...and it now works...

I don't know which of the above steps is needed, or not..I was too much in a
hurry to remember, but the above is all I can recall as to my fix.

My bets are that *everyone* who uses vss also installs visual studio (c++,
vb6...or something).

I am making wild guess, but installed one of the visual studio packages
(such as vb6) is likely what fixed this...

Sorry I can't be more helpful..but, the above did work for me. I also of
course installed vss from the visual studio disks I had..

If the above works for you..then perhaps post back here...(at least the next
person can Google for an answer).
