W2000 Office SR1 Update won't download

I uninstalled and re-installed W2000 Office Professional
on my W2000 machine.
I went to Office Updates to get the updates that I needed
starting with O2KSR1A.

It starts up fine and runs to the 'File Downloading"
progress bar. Before it begins I get a pop up wiindow
with the message "Microsft office 2000 SR1 Update could
not download the Office SR1 Core Update -- Retry or
Cancel".

I tried Retry to no avail.
I shut off my McAffee Firewall. Same thing.
I re-downloaded o2ksr1a and re-started the download. Same
thing.

Help.

Hi, Tony,

Try cleaning out your temp folder. Also try downloading the update
manually, rather than going through Office Update. There are some known
issues with Office Update that are being worked out...
