As subject states, and subsequently from file/open, I can't open files and
instead get a message saying "Can't follow this link - file might not be a
link". This sometimes, but not always, applies too to files in the drop down
list of recent documents.
From WinExplorer, all pertaining files can be opened without problems. It's
definitely a matter of the opening routine, declaring und handling the file
as link instead of Word document. The file's extention invariably remains doc
and is shown as such in any other application.
Any ideas? Many thanks
