I'm working on a computer that receives emails but can't send them (or even
use Outlooks file|export option). Whenever the user tries to send a message
he gets an 'Unable to find the WAB dll' error message. I've searched the
knowledgeabase as well as this forum and about the only thing I could find
was article 917288 and that didn't seem to help. More details follow.
1. Following knowledgebase guidance I 'was' able to find the user's wab.dll
file. In a Google search, however, I came accress the following:
"6/20/2005 3:56:09 PM Re: how to troubleshooting "can find WAB
DLL"--address book problem
Outlook does not use the WAB except in one older, unsupported version.
Are you using Outlook? If so, what version?

Am I barking up the wrong tree?
2. The desktop user encountered a problem and tried to fix it himself so
there may be some missing information here....
3. Probably not at all related but when I go to Help|Online support in my
browser, it takes me to an AT&T web page instead of to the correct web page.
(Could be a virus but I can't find anything on it).
4. I tried to uninstall/reinstall Outlook Express (even though the client
is using Outlook) but the computer wouldn't let me...it was in use. I
originally couldn't get into Outlook Express but then went online and
downloaded it and it now seems to open correctly...presumably fixing any
problems with missing files.
I'm really stumped on this one and would appreciate any insight you have to
offer...even if it's just a guess. I'm trying to avoid a complete
reinstallation....
