I can't seem to run Outlook 2000 with Vista Bus? When I load Office 2000 the
Outlook Contact Mgr always tells me it can't find the WAB DLL?

Outlook 2000 isn't compatible with Windows Vista. Only Outlook 2003 and 2007
are supported to run of Vista.

Changing your Outlook 2000 installation to Corporate Workgroup mode will get
rid of the error but you might come across other.

Expected. You are using a version and mail support mode of Outlook that is
so far out of development that it could never work with Vista. The version
you are using is actually closer to Outlook Express than it ever was to
Outlook, and Outlook Express is long gone in Vista.

Thanks for your help....

I concur, do not try installing Outlook 2000 on Vista. Do not try to fix the
"WAB DLL missing" error. Some things might work, but it will break you and
your Vista system trying to get it to work. I suffered a day of misery trying
before finding the prevailing wisdom on these forums, and moved from Outlook
2000 to Windows Mail on under Vista. See other threads on moving Outlook mail
folders and contacts on old PC to Windows Mail in Vista. I followed the
Outlook Express 6 import method and finally all my old mail into MW. Arg!

money... now i have to go out and buy a new Outlook version? i guess that was
the idea... ask bill gates!

Installing Outlook 2000 in Corporate/Workgroup mode should allow it to
operate on Vista.
