"Wait for the printer" message

Hi all
I am using Office 2003, did run Office update ActiveX and everything is fine
on my PC.
Now when I open a Word document I got the message "The printer has not yet
responded, but the Microsoft Office program may be able to proceed without
printer information. Do you want to continue to wait for the printer?".
If I say "yes" the question comes back after a while.
If I say "No" I got Word hanging in a kind of Blank Window Mode.
Do not know what to do and haven't found yet any relevant information.

Word MUST be able to see a local printer. Make sure that you have installed
a printer and that it is set as Windows Default.

Hi Terry
Word sees my network printer as Windows does (default printer).
This problems occurs for some documents when opening straight from Explorer.
Wonder if it is not related to Virus scan...
Anyway I'll do some more trials and let you know.

Ah! It may be the AV but first try reregistering Word. From Start, Run type
in

winword /r

and press enter. Nothing appears to happen but Word has been reregistered in
Windows, so test again.

All right
I did "winword.exe /r", opened the docs again and it worked!
Not sure this solved the problem as I made a lot of updates yesterday,
anyway it works now !
Many Thanks Terry and have a good day.
