Wallpaper-some pics HUGE-why?

Hi there! Using A02 on XP. Can put JPG and BMP files in my
wallpaper folder and love having the variety. Why do some
photos fit great and others give you a belly shot? I
normally scan the photos on HP scanner to Adobe and save
as JPG or BMP. Stretch distorts, and center either gives
you a small photo in the middle or it is huge and you get
the middle photo area. Is there somewhere that I can read
about that? Is there an easy answer?

Thanks in advance for any help or advice on this issue!!!

You have to scan the image to be the same size (or same ratio) as your
screen resolution if you don't want any distortion. If your screen is
1024 x 768 then the image should be resized and cropped to that same
size. You can make them smaller (640 x 480) or bigger (1280 x 1024) as
long as the ratio is correct. If the ratio is incorrect then "Stretch"
will naturally distort the image.

A02 stands for Access 2002 because I've posted there for
the past 4 years and this was my first inquiry outside. I
should have left it at "Using Microsoft Office XP". Sorry
to have frozen you up on the first sentence.

Thanks SO much! I really appreciate you taking the time to
give me this pointer. What's really great is that I
understand what you're saying! I'll give it a go. Thx
again.
