Want to send photo's (via e-mail) through Entourage...

I just recently installed Office for the Mac 2008 and love it. But two things... 1) I want to send photos through Entourage, but when I choose the photos in iPhoto that I want to e-mail - it sends me automatically through my old Mail program that came with my Mac. I want to send through Entourage. How do I 'disable' the old Mail program?
and 2) How do I make the old Mail program disappear from the lower tool bar - so it doesn't reappear again?
Thank you in advance for any help you can give me with this issue!

You need to set iPhoto's pref for email to Entourage as the default.

Under the General tab of the Preferences pane under the iPhoto menu make
your selection. The icon of the selected application will appear for Email
in the tool bar at the bottom of the iPhoto window.

This was helpful information. If you try to "attach" a photo in Entourage, it doesn't offer a compression option, so the file is HUGE and hard to mail. Going from iPhoto automatically compresses the photo, and puts the photo in the body of the email.

However, I have been unable to successfully use the "insert" function in Entourage, despite following the instructions.

And is there a compression option FROM ENTOURAGE to allow you to compress photos as attachments?

No, you can have iPhoto save to Mail then drag from Mail to Entourage until
you can figure out why send using Entourage is not working.

How to use Entourage with iPhoto

In iPhoto, you need to select Entourage as the default email application.
Select the photo and select Email.

iPhoto preferences --> General --> Email photos using (select Microsoft
Entourage from the popup)

Select the photo and click on the purple E to email the photo. A window pops
up allowing you to select size. Click "Compose". A new email will open in
Entourage with the photo attached.

In Entourage 2008, select the new Toolbox and click on the right icon,
Object Palette. Select the camera tab. This puts you into iPhoto. It does
not give any options to reduce photos though. As a comparison, email from
iPhoto on medium produced an attachment of 56.98 KB. The same photo dragged
in from the Object Palette was 1.13 MB.
