Want way to mark unneeded updates such as French Grammar checker

Whenever logging into the update site I am prompted to download unneeded
updates such as that for the French grammar checker. I don't write in French
and therefore don't need this update. I'd like a way to permanently reject
update messages I don't want to see again. Does such a method exist?
