wants to run install all the time

We are having a problem with Office 2000, whenever we
open an office program it wants to run the install.
This is even happening when we attempt to open an Office
attachment in GroupWise. Also, with GroupWise if we
reply to an email Office 2000 with try to install. How
do we stop this from happening?

Basically it's a call to the Windows installer, which has
been moved. Win2k SP3 moves the registry address when it
updates the installer. there is a three page fix on the
knowledge base.
