I just completed a purchase from the microsoft website and was sent to
another company. The other company is Digital River. Currently I would warn
against doing any business with them and until microsoft changes their vendor
about doing business with them. The reason why?
I bought the product (Microsoft Office) online to save time as it should be
easier to just download it and get the CD in the mail at a later date. I was
not sent an e-mail confirmation of the purchase, or where to go to download
my paid for copy, or an activation code. After the 3x forwarding of my call
to microsoft (only about 25 mins so really not bad) I ended up speaking with
Digital River whose only solution was to refund my credit card charge only
after they recieved the money in their account or for me to wait and maybe
eventually it will work itself out. So basically shop at your own risk. i
would STRONGLY recommend if you have to shop online go to a actual retailer
like amazon or best buy etc... as this company really doesn't care about you
as a customer.
