warning box when opening email attachment

I just got a new computer at work. They are still using Office XP (2002).
Now every time I open an attachment in my email, the warning box pops up and
asks if I want to open or save it, and has the check box asking to "always
ask" this question. I tick off open, and uncheck the "always ask" button.
Every time I open an attachment I still get that warning box. The IT guy
doesn't know why it happens. It didn't on my old computer, with the same
version of Office. I've been getting it at home when I installed Office XP
recently too, however, after one warning, it stopped coming up for similar
file types. Why won't it turn off at work? It is extremely annoying as I
have to open files constantly.

Thanks

Your IT guy needs to relax the security for you a bit.
You probably do not have the rights to save the change
in the registry where it holds this information.

Be sure and write back to let other's know how it went, and
if you still need a better suggestion.
