Warning message on start-up, Access 2003 (2000 file format)

I am using Access 2003 and every time i load the database i get a warning
message stating that when i try to open the file:
"This file may not be safe if it contains code that was intended to harm
your computer . Do you want to open this file or cancel the operation?"

Is there anyway of stopping this message from appearing?
Many Thanks,
Matt

Rick,
Have tried this but to no avail as it automatically sets itself to Medium
again
Any other thoughts?

The only thing I can think of that would automatically change that setting
would be a group policy enforced by your network admins. In that case you
would have to ask them about it.

Matt,

To completely get rid of the warnings you have to changea registry entry,
yep access aint even sure of its own files! the reg you need to change:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\11.0\Access\Security

In here will be "Level", change it to 1.

Done

you should call Microsoft and complain about this.

those fucking retards-- Excel doesn't prompt you like this; and Excel
is a MUCH BIGGER THREAT.

the big fat lazy project manager at Microsoft that allowed this triple
prompt; I would love to have a nice gentlemanly boxing match with you

I mean seriously.

Fucking stupid ass project managers at microsoft; maybe they should
hire SOMEONE that speaks english; and then they could get something
DONE.

as it is; they hire a bunch of gooks.. and we wonder why their software
is so goddamn buggy

Maybe if they were better focused on our needs then they could stop
shipping buggy ass software.

and maybe if they werent worried about selling an xbox or two-- and
they started workinng on FIXING BUGS IN OFFICE AND WINDOWS then maybe,
just maybe- they could get some respect.

Rico,

Within Security i have two files. (Default) and Don'ttrustInstaller.

Am i correct in thinking that Level should be here?

Matt,

yea, i might have been wrong actually, i might have had to create mine, it
was a while ago i did it.

So create a new DWORD, call it level and give it a value of 1

Rico,

I have created this and tried it both as a decimal and hexadecimal figure
but still nothing. It is called Level as a REG_DWORD with data 0*00000001
(1).
Correct??

Also, is there chance, that this may be coming about from a module and not
from a macro as i have two modules within my database

The reason it does this is not to with what you have in your database, its
just that its a mdb file. Windows recognises this file type as one that could
run nasty macros so will allways warn you about it, until you set this reg
entry.

What you've done looks correct, it should be a hexidecimal, have you
restarted?

If you cant get this going post yr email, and i can send you the reg file
that i've made.

this is completely misguided.

Access doesn't inherently run nasty macros.

EXCEL DOES.

why is it that Excel prompts us ONCE and Access does it THREE TIMES?

time for some friggin usability tests, Microsoft!!

this is a PAIN POINT
