I have been using Outlook 2002 on a WindowsXP SP2 computer for several months
with no problems. Recently I had to re-format and re-load all the same
software on the same computer. Now when I try to use Outlook I get a warning
labeled "CiceroWndFrame:Outlook.exe - Entry Point Not Found", "The procedure
entry point WnnetEnumCachedPasswords could not be located in the dynamic link
library MPR.dll."
When I clear this warning message I get the Outlook warning "A recently
installed program may cause Microsoft Office or other e-mail enabled programs
to function improperly. Outlook can resolve this conflict without affecting
the program that originally caused the problem. Do you want Outlook to
resolve this problem?
Outlook is not able to resolve the problem.
I have re-installed Office 2002.
I renamed the mapi32.dll file as instructed in Microsoft Article Q287570
"OL2002: You Receive an Error Message About a Recently Installed Program When
You Start Outlook 2002. But when I tried to run the Fixmapi.exe file (as
also instructed), I got the original "Entry Not Found" warning again.
I have no idea what other program might be causing the conflict.
Outlook is not my e-mail program, but I would really like to use its other
functions.
