Suggested method for disabling warning when opening hyperlink was to

which explains how to change the registry.
After stating this was quite scary, responder suggested I post a suggestion
to Mircrosoft.

BTW. I changed registry. But to no avail. I still get the warning even after
closing Excel and starting again.
My workbook contains many links to other files - all on my PC. Links to
files in the same directory open without a warning. But links to files in
other directories do not open until one says OK to a warning ("some files can
contain viruses ..."). I cannot store all files in the same directory but do
not want to have to say OK to open any files.
Is there any way to disable this warning? Can't find anything in Help or
under Tools/Options/Security.

Thanks.
Quite scary though - both the way it has to be done and the fact that it
affects hyperlinks to all files.
Surprising that this can't be done in an easier way and/or just for local
files or just for Excel.
Eugene
I agree with you.
Why not post a suggestion to Microsoft on this issue ?
