Warning when saving in Excel 03 running on XP

I am doing some corrections to an Excel file that my company has created. The
file has a lot of security attached to it, including RMS from MS. When I save
the file, I get an error that reads “A sheet in the workbook you are trying
to save is password protected. Password protected sheets cannot be saved in a
Web Page. To save this file as a Web Page, you must first remove the
password.†This warning just started to show up Yesterday. (7/16/2007) The
problem is I do not want the sheets to be saved as a Web Page. I do have
about fifteen password protected sheets that I just what to save as an Excel
file. Does anyone know why it is trying to save the file this way? This
warning comes up every time that I save the file and also when the computer
does an auto save. As of now, I am saving some sheets with passwords and some
sheets without, when I am finished with the file all sheets will be password
protected. I also had a password to open the file, but until I am finished I
have also removed the password for easier access until I am finished. When I
am finished I will be adding a password to open the file.

Look in Tools=>Options in the Transition tab and see what the setting is for
the default format for the "Save Excel Files As:" dropdown.

It is at "Microsoft Office Excel Workbook" for the sheet i am working in.
However, i have around 15 sheets, do I have to check every sheet in the
workbook?

i do not know why this worked, but i got rid of the error by right clicking
on the file and making a copy. then i renamed the file and opened it and
saved it and the error never showed up again in either file again. the error
was a huge pain for about a day and a half, but noe it is gone. i guess i
should concider myself lucky (until it happens again)

thanks Josh
