Help. I was trying to open a Microsoft Word (2000) document and I
started getting a RUNTIME 1025 error. I ran a virus scan and tried
again and now am getting the following message:

The document name or path is not valid. Try these suggestions.
Check file permissions for the document or drive
Use the file open dialog box to locate the document

What can I try next??

If you have Norton AntiVirus installed, disable its Office Plug-in. See
"OFF: Latest Information on Using Microsoft Office with the Norton
Anti-Virus Microsoft Office Plug-In" athttp://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=329820.

I don't have Norton. I have McAffee. Does that affect things?

It might. If you can find a way to disable McAfee's "hooks" into
Office/Word, this might help.
