Watermark feature missing from Background feature

After adding a button for Background to my toolbar, I
clicked on No Fill and the feature for Watermark became
greyed out. I have tried searching Help and the MS
website and can't find out how to get it back. I renamed
my normal.dot and got it back, but I also lost a lot of
other customizations. Is there a way to fix my old
normal.dot?

When you apply a background to your page, Word switches to Web Layout view,
in which the Printed Watermark feature is not available. Switch back to
Print Layout and you'll be back in business.
