Watermark in Access 2000

Hi,
I want to add a watermark in my reports. The thing is that the watermark is
some text contained in a field in one of my tables. If I want to put
watermark in my reports, right now, it has to be a graphic (picture). How
can I put text as a watermark or how can I convert my text to a picture?

Thanks

Print screen the text, then crop it in a image editing application such as
Paint or Photo-Editor, then paste it in the Design view of the Report, if
thats not possible, then export the report to Word, Paste the image in Word,
click the image, the "Picture" Toolbar should appear, click text wrapping
and select behind text then print the report.

Hope this helps

Hi,
It doesn't help at all actually (but thanks for the interest). The data
I will be working with is 100% dynamic so I can't afford to have something
that static. And I don't wanna tell the people I'm working this project for
are dumb, but well, they are not very talented with computers, so the less
they do, the better it is.

So is there anyone else that wants to give it a try?

Thanks

As far as I know, Access has no specific "watermark" feature, so fading the
image in an image processing program before making it available in Access
may be the only approach available. You can set the Picture property at
runtime, through code, though ... from your comment, I know it must be
"dynamic" but don't know what the criteria are for picking an image.

You could just use a text box in the detail section and set the colour of
the text to a very light grey

Just an idea

Here's what I do. It isn't a watermark, but it sure looks like one. I make a
transparent text box and put it underneath the report's transparent text
boxes, then I usually use an outline font (but not always) The text in the
ersatz watermark has a light grey color, so the other text boxes print fine
right over top of it.

ok, but where do I put it? because if I put it in the Details section, it
displays the text box on every line of detail. What I want to do is to put
the watermark (even if it isn't exactly a watermark) on the entire page
without limiting the details lines to 1.

Not a perfect soultion but,

you could put it in the detail section and also put a hidden counter in
there
and add some code to only have the 'watermark' visible every 5 lines or so
