kvogell,
The only way I know to do it is to print it out and then set a damp
glass on it :)

Seriously though, I'm not sure why anyone would want a watermark on a
project plan. This is more a feature available in publishing or text
type applications and it is not directly available in MS Project (at
least as far as I know - I don't have the server or professional
versions). You can simulate a watermark by using the drawing tools
(Drawing toolbar) to place a watermark graphic in the Gantt Chart
portion of the view. Note that you will need to replicate the mark on
each portion of the view that is printed on a new page. Not necessarily
a convenient approach but it will give a reasonable facsimile of a
watermark.

Hope this helps.

kvogel1,

This functionality would be, as John explains, something more
traditionally controlled by the printer or publishing software. The way
I'd do it is print the output from Project to Adobe PDF format using
Adobe Acrobat. Use Adobe to add a watermark (Menu: Document/Add
Watermark and Background).

As a simple workaround (compared to the other solution) ...

Click on File -> Page Setup and select the Footer tab.

Select the Left, Center or Right tabs and then click in the text entry box.
Type whatever text you want ("Draft", "Confidential", whatever)

Highlight the text you've just typed, click on the "A" button and select the
font, size, colour, etc. that you want.

It's not a true watermark by any stretch of the imagination but it is easy
to do and may be sufficient for your purposes.

Thanks, I would rather set an empy six pack of brew on it after beating the
bushes...
