Watermark prints as blocks on first page but prints fine on second

I have a word document that has "draft" watermark. When I print to a colored
printer, it prints the first page watermark as blocks and prints the second
page fine. It prints to the black and white printer correctly. Is there a
setting on the printer that needs to happen or is there something I need to
check?
