Watermark won't go away!

I created a watermark some time ago and now it prints on every document
produced in Word (from Office 98 on a Mac). I've tried turning off "Drawing
Objects" in the print options. I've tried accessing the graphic under
Header but it doesn't show up. Word Help advises going to Preferences in
the Tool menu, but on my Tool menu, Preferences doesn't exist. How do I get
rid of this watermark, or at least turn it off at will? Why does it show up
in print, even upon creating a brand new document (as opposed to creating
via "Save As"), yet not show up on my screen? As Charlie Brown used to say,
"Aaarggghhh!" -

It seems that your Normal.dot Template is affected, Create a new Normal.dot
file and replace your existing one with the new one or if you can copy this
file from some other working Mac and then test.

The best way to do this is to rename your current Normal template (*NOT*
Normal.dot - the .dot extension is only used in Windows Word).

Make sure you do this with Word closed. Then reopen Word - it will
create a new Normal template from its internal settings.

You can then use the Organizer to restore any desired customizations
from the old Normal to the new Normal template. Find more information
here:

Choose Tools/Customize. In the Toolbars pane, select "Worksheet Menu
Bar" (so that it's highlighted, not just checked). Click Reset.
