Watermarks in print preview

I have a picture watermark and colored background on my document in Word
2007. When I first clicked print preview I had no colored background and the
watermark was no longer a watermark, it was just a normal pic. I clicked the
box print background colors and pictures and it did bring the color back in
but the water mark is still showing up as a regular pic.

Given that there are few printers that can print to the edge of the page and
that printing backgrounds is an extremely costly method of producing
coloured backgrounds compared with printing on coloured paper, I winder if
this is a good idea. As for the watermark, a watermark is merely a picture
placed behind text (and usually in the header view so that it appears on all
relevant pages). Like any other picture you can adjust the brightness and
contrast to produce the effect you require.
