Watermarks too bold

I am trying to use my logo as a faint watermark. I use the header footer and
paste it and then the picture toold to mover the transparency to 80%. Looks
great on the screen, but prints at the original dark density instead of the
faded image. What am I doing wrong?

Not all printers can handle transparent objects, so they print out in full
strength, as you have found.

Instead of changing the transparency of the graphic, change it's brightness
& contrast to achieve a similar effect. This should print OK.
