Watermarks - Touching Up A Picture

John Gregory

The photo I want to us as a watermark shows a darker-than-desired edge at
the bottom. Ideally, I'd like to soften it and two other sides so the edges
of the photo just seem to fade into the margin. How can I do this please?

Hi John -

Not in Word... you need to create effects like that in an image editing
program.

You might be able to come close if you either;

1- Use the Cropping feature to 'trim off' the unwanted edges, and/or

2- select the image & use Format>Borders & Shading to put a 'frame' around
the picture. If you use Text Wrap (as opposed to InLine with Text) it gives
you more border flexibility & you can get fairly creative.
