Watermarks

I'm using Word 2000. I've gone into the header and put in my "Sample"
watermark using wordart. In some areas of the document, the watermark is
coming through clearly, but in others it is as if the text of the document
has a white area around it that prevents the watermark from coming through
clearly. Any feedback on how to clear this is appreciated.

Are the margins (jeader & footer as well) the same for each page? If not the
text may be starting at the header line. Try using format, background,
printed watermark I think it works better than a drawing for watermarks.
