>wav audio_custom animation issue

Okay, this shouldn't be this hard, but I'm a Mac person using PP for the
first time.
I've prepared 45 .wav audio files for a presentation. I simply want to embed
a single audio file per slide. Not link. I have no concerns about total
presentation size.
Under options, I've upped individual file size allowed to 50,000 kb. Under
insert,
I select object, select wave, browse to file. That works fine. I do that for
the first 5 slides. I then set-up transitions to match the length of the
audio files, I select custom animation for each, add effect, object
action-play, start with previous.
Run show, audio file plays for first slide, but after transition to next
slide, the new audio file doesn't play. It's there, becuase I can click on it
and have it play, but it should start on it's own. Can't get it to work.
Any suggestions on what I may be doing wrong?
PP 2003 on XP 5.1 Build 2600.

To add wav sounds

Insert > movies & sounds > sounds from files (option play automatically)

You'll find this will work better.

thanks for the prompt response, but doesn't that merely link the audio files?
The whole reason I prepared .wav files instead of the much smaller MP3's was
so I could embed the files. Does this feature not work?

Ignore previous. This method works, and embeds. Thanks for the help, John.

No it will embed them if you have settings of 50000 as you said.

If you want to embed mp3 files download Cdex
and then use convert > add a riff wav header

http://sourceforge.net/projects/cdexos

This will produce files of mp3 size which will embed
