Wav files from WMP to embed in PP

I would like to copy some of my music files from my Windows Media Player
into a folder as .wav files where I can use them as embedded files in a Power
Point presentation. Is this possible?

Yes.

To answer your question, yes, it's possible to copy WAV files into a folder
and use them as embedded files in a PPT presentation.

First, Media Player has nothing to do with it really, unless it is being
used to create the files. If that is the case you need to be aware that if
it is commercial (bought) music from a CD is almost certainly has DRM in it
and Windows Media Player will carry that over to the wav file. Again, if
that is the case (DRM in the file) you will not be able to use them in
PowerPoint.

Consider this... it seems wav formats are accepted while mp3 are not for
embedding (not even on PP2007).
Once a wav file is embedded, the size of the PP file will be huge, so much
so that forget about emailing it.
As long as the mp3 or wav file is not embedded, then you must have the music
in the same directory as the PP slides.

The best feature is : The Wav file that it has converted is of the SAME size
as the original MP3. How ? A long story short , it disguises the converted
file as Wav file.
