Wave is too big

I tried imbedding a wave file to play throughout a display. It worked fine
but the wave file was so big I couldn't send the .pps file via email. I
even went to WinNT folder... Media.... and found a very small (less than 100
KB) .rmi file. I couldn't convert that directly to a .wav so I played it
while recording "what U hear". Worked OK and produced an .mp3 file 1.3 MB
in size. Since imbedding requires a .wav file I converted it to .wav. The
resultant .wav file was almost 15 MB which, when imbedded in my .pps file
makes it way too big to send by email. I know of other ways to send it
(yousendit.com) but .... does anyone know how to keep the .wav file small
enough to email?

Maybe not a timely response, but if you check The PowerPoint Blog on April
2nd, this is the topic (how to create the smallest .wav).

You might want to look at CDex (google it)

It can convert WAV > RIFFWAV These still work in PPT but are a lot smaller.
