Way to password protect an Access .snp file

I have an Access report which I wish to e-mail. The instructions say to
create a .snp file and e-mail it. That I can do and have done. I am looking
for a way to password protect that file.

I have not been able to find a way to do it. In Office Word documents I can
find the appropriate method but have not found something that will work for
this format.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Try asking in an Access group where people who know Access are to be found.
This group is for Outlook.

I chose Outlook because the person uses Outlook to e-mail and I thought
there might be some method in that.

Outlook doesn't control the password control on attachments. If the file
format doesn't allow it you can always create a password protected zip-file.

Thank you. Yes, I will try that. I read about a free program ZipGenius.it
that allows you to password protect. I will try that. I know that in theory I
can create a zipped file in Windows Explorer and put the other file into it.
The question that I have then though is why the number of KB for the
compressed file does not decrease. It makes me wonder if the file has really
been compressed/zipped.

Right click on the file that you want to zip and choose Send To-> Compressed
Folder
Open the zip-folder by double clicking on it to see what's in there. You can
use the File menu to set a password on the zip-file (strangely enough Vista
doesn't support setting a password on a zip-file).
