WD2002 Headers, Footers, and Page Numbering

M

Mary

I'm using a document template prepared by someone else
and cutting and pasting in text from yet another
document. The header is already there; I am just
supposed to enter a new document number and date. When I
do this and print current page, the entries I just made
disappear. Also, after I had entered this new header info
in ALL of the 200 pages, they all disappeared.
Changing "same as previous" section does not help to
relieve the problem.

In two other documents from other people and separate
machines, these people cannot get page numbering to
behave properly. No matter how closely I follow the
instructions, I cannot get page 1-1 of the document to
say anything but 3-1. Ironically, Section 3 has a
correct page 3-1 but in the middle of the section it goes
back to 3-1.

Halllp. Thanks!

Press Alt+F9 to display field codes. You may find that the text you're
replacing is generated by, say, a StyleRef field, in which case you need to
change the information it is based on.
