wdb files

Hi, we just got a new computer and I installed office xp
standard. I copied a works spreadsheet onto a disc and
now can't open in it in anything. it has an extension of
wdb. i tried everything. what am i doing wrong? please
email me an answere

Hi Shari,

MS Works uses .WDB as the extension on Works DataBase files.
MS Office XP oesn't have a converter for those other than
it can use the .wdb files as mailmerge data sources if there
are no calculated fields in the file.

You may want to check with the folks in the MS Works newsgroup
for workarounds if you don't have MS Works installed.
