Web Access - customising views

As it is not recommended that Master projects are used within Project
Server/Web Access I have been attempting to find a work around.

I need to be able to view all projects in the project server at a
milestone level only. I have attempted various differing views but non
really hit the spot. I have set up a custom number field to show a
traffic light view based on the % Complete which I would also like to
display so something like; Any ideas welcome in the best way to achieve
this.

Project 1
Milestone 1 Traffic light % complete Start End Notes
Milestone 2 Traffic light % complete Start End Notes

Project 2
Milestone 1 Traffic light % complete Start End Notes
Milestone 2 Traffic light % complete Start End Notes

Project 3
Milestone 1 Traffic light % complete Start End Notes
Milestone 2 Traffic light % complete Start End Notes

I believe you are dealing with erroneous information about using master
projects in Project Server. The default permissions in Project Server 2003
do not allow a PM to either save or publish a master project. However, your
Project Server can safely allow PM's to SAVE a master project, but he/she
should never allow anyone to PUBLISH a master project. Publishing a master
project can cause the duplication of task assignments on each team member's
timesheet in PWA.

Therefore, based on your reporting needs, I would recommend that you ask
your Project Server to go to Admin - Server Configuration in PWA and allow
master projects to be saved (but not published) in Project Server. From
there, you can create and save a master project to produce the reporting
results you seek. Another way you could handle this would be by using SQL
Server Reporting Services. Hope this helps.

Dale,

I have to prepare the same report, but for many independent projects, so
mastering is aut of questuiion. Could you pleae give me some further hint
bout the Reporting Services?

Thanks
