Web addresses changed in Microsoft Word 2000

I type all my web addresses in a word document such as www.cnbc.com. When I want to get into one of these addresses I center on the web address and hit control shift and it loads the address and connects me to that web site through my web server

When I turned on my computer all my web addresses have been changed on these word documents and what has been added to each web address is the following: Hyperlink HTTP://

When I try to just type in www.cnbc it changes it and adds Hyperlink HTTP:/

With this addition added to the web address I can no longer get into the web address by just pressing control shift.

When I tried typing a new word document it changes it also. Can anyone give me some idea what happen and what am I doing wrong
