web component problem

I used a Frontpage 2002 web component to include an excel spreadsheet in
a
web page on my site. When i previewed it in my browser (IE 5.5SP2) it
worked OK. After I published to my web hosting server it takes 20-30
seconds to
load this page, which is about right. But then it just shows a little
square with a dot in the middle where the spreadsheet component is
supposed to be.

The web hosting company supposedly support front page extensions.

How do I get this to display correctly?

Stefan,

My web hosting company said that the page displays O.K. for them. They suggested that I upgrade to IE 6.0 and set security to low. I
went to another person's computer and they were running WINXP and I assume IE 6.x or better. The spreadsheet component didn't display
on their system either.

Do you think the web hosting support people understand the problem? I would hate to think that anyone viewing my site would have to set
their security to low.

I will read up on the information from the site you directed me to.

thanks

maybe they were browsing to it internally which would give a different
result.
I remember a while back fooling around with an active x calendar component
and it was super cool on my local machine when I tested it but when I sent
it to the web everyone who tried to see it just got security warnings and
failures.
