Web copied & paste pics in Word 07 don't fully display. Why?

When copying and pasting a webpage w/pics, the pics in word show as a narrow
band and not the entire pic. When the enlarge points are "pulled", you can
see the pic in full (almost transparent) but when released the pic returns to
the narrow band. The same process works fine in Publisher (all pics show) so
why not in the current version of Word? Works in 2003, so what changed and
how do you correct this?

Assuming the graphics are In Line With Text, check the paragraph formatting
to make sure the line spacing isn't set to an Exactly amount.

Thank you for responding Susan. I checked the line spacing and it is set to
12 point font with "multiple" for line spacing so unless that is not o.k.,
that isn't the problem.

I am perplexed as to why I can copy a webpage (even doing it selectively for
just the text and any graphics leaving out advertisments, banners, etc) and
can Paste it directly into Publisher with no problems but when I try to do it
into Word, the problems with the pics previously described occurs.

Now - another thing - after I have pasted into Publisher I can copy the
entire Publisher page and it will past just fine into Word with no problem
with the pics.

Does this provide you with any additional ideas as to what is going on with
this in Word? I don't remember ever having this issue with previous versions
of Word.

Tks again for the helpful ideas.

What setting for "Multiple"? The default is 3, but it can be any number
(including numbers less than 1).

Suzanne - I owe you an apology. You were right in the FIRST response!

I went back and re-reviewed the line setting. For some reason I did not see
the default was "Exactly" twelve point.

I reset to "Before" and "After" spacing to "0" and the Line Spacing to
"Single"

Graphics problem solved!

Again - thanks for the information and sorry I put you to extra work because
I didn't recogize what I was looking at the first time. (I'm a man and you
KNOW we can't see anything that's right in front of us - at least the first
time we look for or at it. "Male-pattern-blindness" I call it :)

"Male-pattern blindness"--I love that! I'll add that to Jay Freedman's "mind
like a steel sieve" as one of my favorite expressions!
