Hi all,
I found the Web Diagram feature, and it seems just what I was looking for.
Unfortunately, I can't find a way to disable certain links from being mapped
on a site. I'm using this on an intranet, and because of the links on our
homepage, it ends up wanting to spider the entire intranet, as opposed to
just the site(s) I'm trying to diagram. I'm also dealing with frames. Any
suggestions?
A related issue, Visio seems to never finish the "Generating Site Map"
window. I can cancel it and it does generate something, but it is incomplete.
I've let it go for over 2 hours and it seems stuck in the same place,
although the application doesn't indicate that it is not responding. This
happens on any link I try to spider, regardless of the mapping level that I
set. I'm on Visio 2003 SP1 (11.4301.6360). Are there any upgrades I should
apply to fix spidering bugs? I need to get IT's involvement to do so, so I
want to make sure it may make a difference before I request patches.
