Web files are too large with Publisher 2003

When publishing my web page with Publisher 2003 & saving it to the web it's
16 MB. However I am only allowed 10MB with my service provider. When saving
the file under Publisher 2000 format & then converting it to web pages on my
old computer it's only 2.3 MB. This is long winded as my other computer is
not conected to the Internet. I then have to upload them to my web site.It
took me a while to realise the file size was 5 times as large!
Has anyone else had this problem? I have turned the incremental function off
in the options menu.My web page is only a hobby for family history. I had no
previous problems with the file size when saving web pages.

Sounds like you skipped over version 2002 and aren't aware of all the changes
that took place in 2002 and 2003. All of which you can find at
http://www.publishermvps.com . As for the larger file sizes, that is how 2003
