web hosting

I'm searching for a web hosting provider and was wondering if any can
recommend someone.

I'm looking to start with just a basic service and then moving to developing
applications with a MSSQL 2000 backend.

Thanks,

In a previous post I wrote:

There seems to be a web host provider for every web site in existence these
days. The best way to pick a hosting provider is to first research what
features and functionality your site will require. Once armed with this, you
can search using your favorite engine for providers, find the ones that
provide what your site needs, then start comparing features and prices.

Before signing with a provider, ask for contact info of existing customers
to see what kind of experiences they are having.

Don't let price be the determining factor. If I had to pick the most
important thing, it would technical support. What do you really save by
having n inexpensive hosting plan when, should your site go down, you can't
contact anyone to get it back up.

That said, good luck.

I think I responded to a post from you about this. Can you share your
research and findings with RA?

There are 2 providers that I use for my clients, but I don't want this to be
a commercial for them. Its not the purpose of this forum.

Thanks
