A
Art
First, This has been working for a few years and now something broke and I
have no idea where to look.
I have a development sub web and a production sub web for department XYZ
named XYZ-DEV and XYZ. The user always does work in dev and then publishes
to XYZ. And it has worked for years.
The XYZ web still functions from IE and all pages are accessible. But when I
try to publish to the XYZ web or to open it in either Front Page or from
Network PLaces, it says the server is busy, the pages are deleted or moved or
are not available.
If I use the machine address as administrator, the files are there.
Rebooting the machine has not helped and neither has stopping and starting
IIS.
Does anyone have any clues?
The event viewer shows a very weird error " Microsoft FrontPage Server
Extensions:
unexpected C++ exception: [READERR] Read error"
and another
Microsoft FrontPage Server Extensions:
(OS Error #-1073741819 Message: exception occurred at 0x32dd3959)
