I'm looking for a way to push our office documents, mostly Word and
Excel, from our LAN to the Internet so they can be edited. I've read
various methods of doing this from Web Folders (WebDAV) to Sharepoint
to putting files in a SQL image or text field, but none sound like
they will work with our setup.
We have a lot of Word documents that contain embedded Excel charts and
tables that automatically update the links when they are opened. The
Excel files have database queries that poll a SQL Server every time
they are opened. They can also be linked to other Excel files.
Has anyone had any experience with doing this? How has it worked for
you?
Thanks,
T
