web ordering / basket

Hiya Group!

I don't really know too much about web design.
I do have a practice website that is horribly put together.

You can order things on this site, and I believe it's done in java script,
but I'm not sure, as someone else put this all together. and I am now going
to build it the right way.
(hopefully)
Basically, they (the customer) clicks to select an item and hits a process
order button and an email
is sent to me.

I guess what I am asking, is can I use a template like this:

And still have my "order coding"?
If so what kind of code/html would I use to process orders?
If someone has a better suggestion or route to go about this, all opinions
are welcome.

That particular template is not going to work in Publisher, as Publisher
produces static pages. If you want that type of template, then you will need
to build the site with software that supports dynamic features. Frontpage
and the new Expression Web are just two examples. Then I would suggest
posting your question in the appropriate newsgroup, as this one is for
Publisher.

....also suggest you do not attempt to build a storefront on your own, look
for a reliable prefab one, or if you don't have too many items to sell you
can use Paypal.
