Web Parts Setting and Who has Access

Who, aside from Server Admins, can shut off web parts for the My timesheets,
My period/actual timesheet feature. Today we found that you got a blank page
yet all the admins did not make this change. Is this a setting any PWA user
can adjust for all?

Please advise.

By default, PWA users have far more security than most companies are comfortable
with. Typically, the administrator should go into PWA, and ratchet down
security levels.

Presumably you're patched beyond the August 2008 IU as there were issues
with this approach prior to that.

Logged in with Admin access, click on Site Settings in the top right of the
PWA. Then click on one of the security settings on the top left. Can't
remember which one off hand, but I think it's one of the first two in the
column.

Click around until you can edit "Permission Levels." Deselect any security
on the PM which looks like it might be fishy - things like change the custom
theme, delete the site, edit the site, create personal pages, etc. Take a
look at the other permission levels to make sure to clean up anything in
those.

That should do it.
