Web Preview doesn't match design view - text alignment

When creating a website in Publisher 2007, the text alignment/spacing in the
design window is not the same as that of the preview and published
pages...making it difficult to manage text placement. 1) Why is this
happening, and 2) How can I fix this?
Any help is appreciated!

For Starters try using an even integer font size. I.E. displays the closest
even font
size in some cases. Also use web friendly fonts.

One way to see how I.E. adjusts is to use a split screen (shrink the
publisher window to half screen, select preview and shrink the I.E. screen
to half size) side by side and see how close they look for size and spacing.
Also spacing between paragraphs. all of this is adjustable manually.

In addition to what Spike suggested, you might find that you need to avoid
special print formatting techniques that won't translate to html well.
Indents, tabs, extra spacing between lines etc. You might want to click on
the text box > Format > Style and clear the formatting.

Though you are using Pub 2007, you might want to review the following
article. Read the section about tips about formatting, and though email
newsletters are much more restrictive than web pages, it may help you find
what is messing up your formatting.

Tips and troubleshooting for sending a publication page as an e-mail
message (2003):

Post back with a link to the page on your site where you are having the
problem if you aren't able to sort it out.
