Hello,
My friend set up a web query in Excel 2000, and it runs fine on his
machine, and downloads a specific table. When I try to run the same
query on my machine (Excel 97, Win 98), it downloads the whole web
page, unformatted, not just the table. In fact, any web query I try to
set up seems to download the whole page - even the sample "Get More
Queries.iqy" produced the same gobbledy-gook.
I'm new to the Web Query aspect of Excel, and am obviously doing
something wrong, but none of the research I've done on this seems to
help. I downloaded Microsoft's Web Connectivity Kit for Excel 97,
hoping to gain some insight, and according to the examples they
include, it looks like it should be able to do what I'm expecting.
Unfortunately, the URLs are out of date, so I can't actually test their
queries.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Regards
