I know the downside of taking action on rumours, but there seem to be
some of you "in the know" about features that will be in the next
Excel release for Mac (e.g. the Applescript/VBA issue).
Does anyone know if there will be enhancements to Web Queries? That
function is totally amazing, yet nothing has been done to enhance it
over the past two releases at least for Mac. On the other hand, each
new Windows release has added new features. On the Windows side, you
can selectively pick individual tables (and possibly even cells)
within web pages, interactively sign-in to web pages that require a
login, etc etc. None of that is available on Mac.
I'm sure some of you MVPs have had a sneak preview by now. The info
could really help some of us be more proactive in terms of our own
Excel projects (as appears to be the case with the Applescript/VBA
info). Can't you at least hint at a few things like that? Or point me
in the direction of an Excel 2008 rumour web site?
